Quick Installation

The Quick Installation option provides user an easy way to setup a logical drive. When you click on this option with no existing logical drives, the manager software will guide you through a logical drive setup and LUN mapping process.

CAUTION! Including all disk drives into a logical drive may not be a good idea with a 16-bay or 24-bay subsystem. A logical drive consisting of too many disk drives will take a long time to rebuild. With a redundant-controller system, letting one controller handle one large logical drive will put the computing power of the partner controller into waste.
