Seeing All RAIDs in the Network
Once SANWatch is started, enter a Management Host agent IP so that RAID systems managed by this agent will all be connected. See below for the definitions of SANWatch agents and how tiered management is made.

You will be asked to provide an IP range the first time you use the SANWatch. You can modify the IP range later or add different IP ranges.
What is a Management Host agent?
A Management Host agent collects information from a group of RAID systems in a local network. The agent is a TCP/IP agent that facilitates the connections to its subordinate RAID systems. The agent is install along with the SANWatch program or independently as a stand-alone agent using the SANWatch Custom mode installation. Because of the network security measures, access from outside a local network requires help from your network administrator or methods like VPN. On each installation site, select a management station as the Management Host so that the Management Host agent can provide access to a group of RAID systems.
What is a Data Host agent?
A Data Host agent applies for in-band management sessions where configuration commands are transmitted via in-band protocols between data host and a RAID system. Snapshot especially requires in-band agent for that application and OS cache need to be flushed or held inactive temporarily for the integrity of snapshotted data. For arrays managed through the direct Ethernet connections, no agent is required.
