Host
Channel
The Host Channel window allows you to change host port Data Rate,
Channel Mode, to add or remove Channel IDs.

Channel Mode: Allows you to change IO channel operating mode. Channel
mode is only configurable on the 1U controller head sereis.
Changes to the channel mode should only be applied when the controller/subsystem's
default configuration does not suffice your needs.
Default
Data Rate: Should only be applied with certain configuration requirements;
e.g., optical cables and adapters running at different wavelengths or on the
drive channels of the SATA-based subsystems.
ID: Add or remove host channel IDs by selecting or deselecting ID boxes.
Associating RAID arrays with host IDs allows you to present RAID volumes to HBAs (host LUN mapping). The choices with AIDs and BIDs only appear in a dual-controller configuration.
Apply: Click this button for the configuration to take effect. Note
that changing the channel mode or adding/removing IDs requires resetting the
controller/subsystem.
