Mapping to Host ID/LUNs

To map logical configurations to host ID/LUNs: 1. Open the Host LUN Mapping window 2. The LUN Mapping window contains several sub-windows: Host LUN(s), WWN Names(s), and Logical Drive(s) or Volume(s). Go to Host Channel window if you need more host IDs on the host channels. 3. Move your cursor to the Host LUN(s) sub-window and right-click in the sub-window. 4. Select adding AIDs or BIDs (Controller A IDs or Controller B IDs).

What is an AID /BID?
In configurations using dual-redundant RAID controllers, logical capacities (logical drives/logical volumes/logical partitions) associated with Slot A IDs are mananged by the Slot A controller (the default Primary controller), those associated with Slot B IDs the Slot B controller. The Slot A controller resides in the upper controller slot, the Slot B controller in the lower controller slot.

As diagrammed below, select the host channel, ID, and LUN number from each pull-down menu you wish to associate with your arrray.
Select a logical drive or logical volume from the list below. If the array has been partitioned, select a partition by a single mouse click.

6. Click Map LUN to complete the process.
